Sience and God...what's the problem?

It seems to me that Sience continually provides the evidence of The Creator that many scientists refuse to accept. Likewise, many Christians will embrace science that supports the existence of God but, reject the science that does not line up with Biblical accounts.
For instance, Science claims the Earth is about four billion years old. But, many Christians reject that claim because of their flawed interpretation of the creation account in the Book of Genissis. Because of this short story of creation, many in the Church claim the Earth cannot be more than 5 or 10 thousand years old. Unfortunately, the Bible is not a Scientific text.
How can this be? I beleive I have a reasonable explination for this disparity in the age of the Earth. Can you guesse what it may be? Post your thoughts before I share my hypothosis with you.
Until next time, may God Bless you all!

Have questions about Christianity or Religion in general? Lets try and sort them out together. Just because we've heard something over and over does not make it true!
From time to time I will post "articles" of mine that are of interest to me. If some of them interest you, then feel free to write about it. Or, you can simply ask those old nagging questions, and I'll do my best to give an honest answer. Sound fair?
The rules are simple...keep it clean and no arguing for argument's sake. Okay?
All the best, and may God Bless you all!
